Анотація:
Taking the 1990-2003 Iraq crisis and the two Gulf wars as a vivid case study, the author explores the way just war arguments are used by governments, churches, and campaigning bodies. His examination reveals that two trends dominate the just war debate: the first is the increasing secularization of society and the marginalization of religious language; the second is the radical transformation in the way nations view and use military force as an integral part of foreign policy.
