Анотація:
This is the tale of a people, the Crimean Tatars, exiled by Stalin in 1944 to Central Asia, who survived to return to their homeland after the disintegration of the Soviet Union. Outside the USSR little was known about the events recorded here. They really happened. They illustrate how displaced peoples can overcome obstacles by retaining a sense of vision.

It is the tale of individuals whose lives are interwoven around that central character of Shaire, orphaned by the deportation, who eventually found faith as well as home. It is the human face of history.
